Dendrochilum filiforme
This small to medium sized epyphitic species comes from high mountains of south American where it grows haging from trees in moist, moss and humus filled crevices.

All the genera is characterized by its fairly small but many flowered inflorescence that always have a pendent habit after dropping from the stem that comes from the middle of a soon to mature pseudobulb.

Should be grown in shade with regularly waterings and you should never let it dry completely. Doesn't need any winter rest and can be found, now, blooming in most collections.
